To summarize i have a light on a 3 way switch that will not go off via the switches. I swapped wires around and they still wont go off.

3 way switch wont turn off. Hook the red and white wires from the 3 wire cable to the other 2 screws on the switch doesnt matter which way. The dimmer doesnt work now either i have not touched the dimmer connections i checked both old and new.
