What are empty fuse slots for. Started looking around under the dash this morning and noticed that the following slots in the fuse panel under the dash are empty. Jan 2 2019 location. 5 16 21 24 25 i can figure out how to determine if the circuit is switched but am wondering. Do they not wire the empty slots these days in the fuse boxes. Japeto most if not all of the extra fuse locations do not have an output connecotr in the socket. Obviously one fuse for the aux dash cam but what about the other slot in the piggy back. The fuse required is a maximum of 10 amp. Since it was an empty unused slot there isnt an original fuse. I just checked out my fuse panel with a multimeter and the empty fuse slots in the fuse panel in the dash have power on acc only and the empty fuse slots in the fuse panel by the battery have constant power. These are handy as hell.

Brandon w senior member supporting member. If so how many fuses need to be plugged into the connector. Can i simply tap into these with an add a circuit. Good place to keep extra fuses sine they only have 3 or 4 slots for extra fuses. Discussion starter 1 feb 3 2018 edited i am planning on tapping into the interior fuse block to power my curt trailer wiring. Fyi in the passenger side fuse box for the 2014 ex 21 headlight.
Worst case i will piggy back off another fuse or splice into parking lamp wire but not my first choice. The curt harness requires that it be wired directly to the battery to have power at all times. 2 replies 2 participants last post. None of the existing fuses provide these requirements.
