In most cases use an on off switch on new wire marine custom marine switch panels we recommend using an standard onoff manual bilge switch. Keep your wire runs short as possible and your connections at a minimum and well protected from moisture as high out of the bilge as possible.

Wire bilge pump directly to battery. Seems the float is not working as i checked it for continuity but i jumped through the plug that the float connects to and still not working.
